Day 13
today the gang {AND I MEAN GANG} decided to go
on the Prairie DogCentral Railway
from L to R....David, Katie, Eddie, Glen {shotgun in hand} & Sheila |
after getting stuck behind a truck and taking a wrong
turn
dad and I made it in time just-in-time for the train to be leaving
dad had to get his rifle out to get people out of the way
just so we could make the train before it left

We scrambled on board to join the rest of the family in
the caboose
and had quite an enjoyable ride
and had quite an enjoyable ride
there was one stop at Grosse Isle where the
Lions Club were selling snacks,
ice cream and pop as well as baked goods, crafts and
trinkets
we also had a look around a heritage house from the 1800s
Back to
the trailer for a while to let Missy out then off to the reunion again
When we arrived mostly guys were playing ball but dad chose to be the
official bar-b-quer {he didn't want to show off his baseball skills}
Because mostly everybody was leaving tomorrow we said our goodbyes
But before we left there was a vote taken to decide where we
should hold the next reunion
Can you believe it took three rounds of voting before a winner was declared
The choices were Durham England or Fernie BC
In the end Fernie won out so the next one will be held there in two years time
Back to the campsite and to bed around 10 PM
toodle-loo
