Days 14 & 15 -- "it will dry off"

Days 14 & 15

Day 14 was basically spent doing a bit of maintenance around the trailer as we
stayed in Winnipeg a few days after the reunion had ended.

But there was still one straggler left that needed to get out of town

Eddie needed a ride to the airport so dad took the task on his  own
{with out his human co-pilot} while I stayed at the trailer to spend some
time with Missy
she has  spent a lot of time in the trailer by herself and
anytime we can spend with her she laps it up

Dad seemed to be taking a bit longer than I expected  and I got a little worried
....just a little

It turns out the GPS took him right smack through the middle of Winnipeg
instead of taking him around the outskirts which would've been faster
But oh well he was on vacation and he has the time

After a lovely dinner of lamb chops, baked potatoes and coleslaw we
called home to our firstborn child Lori to see how things were going there
We were happy to hear all everything was going fine in Victoria

Day 15
Over night I heard teaming down rain and thought we were going to have a
rainy day but we awoke to beautiful sun which was nice to see
BUT we forgot to close the windows in the truck so the seats on both
the driver and passenger side got a really nice cleaning overnight
Oh well since it was sunny "it will dry off"
Today we're going to explore upper fort Gary which is the heritage
outpost and Fort of the Hudson's Bay Company

I had called in advance to make sure we could bring Missy but they failed to tell
us that Tuesday was the only day of the week the buildings were close
and that there were no interpreters to explain the fort to the visitors
But the good thing about it was that it was
free

back at the campsite while eating dinner dad noticed
water coming out of the  bottom of the trailer
It looks like I, in a seniors moment, had left the kitchen sink tap running
I'm not sure what it is with us and water but it really likes us a lot
Oh well...dad says the usual "it will dry off"

No animals sighted over the past few days but millions and millions of flies that bite
No mosquitoes just biting flies
One thing that we were surprised at was the the number of gravel roads in Winnipeg
even leading up to Dave and Shelly's house the road was gravel
but the houses are really nice and the yards are well-maintained with lots of flowers

lets see what we can get up to tomorrow
